As an Occupancy Specialist / Receptionist, you will be responsible for assisting with the ongoing leasing and administrative tasks associated with our client’s apartments based in Jackson. Supporting the Property Manager, you’ll verify the certification of resident files and ensure that program-related activities comply with federal regulations and local public housing guidelines. You’ll check the income eligibility of applicants, calculate their family income and assist with tax credit evaluations, initial certifications and re-certifications. Warmly greeting visitors, you’ll field all housing related calls, as well as taking and relaying messages. You’ll prepare contracts, lease agreements, income changes and housing assistance payment adjustments. Additionally, you’ll process rent payments and support the day-to-day administrative activities for low income housing.
