The Director of Sales is accountable to provide overall leadership for the business development and sales efforts of a $60 million rental services division of a much larger parent company. This is a multi-location division and this position reports to the Division General Manager. The successful individual will be responsible for researching, establishing, and driving accountability for the execution of sales strategies and plans that achieve corporate objectives for sales growth, territory participation and penetration. This division both sells and rents compact construction equipment such as mini-hydraulic excavators, skid steer loaders, track skid steers, compaction equipment, crane trucks, generators, welders, and a host of similar types of equipment traditionally used on construction sites, landscaping sites, power plants, plant expansion projects, and similar. The Director of Sales will have responsibility for approximately 20 people, to include a team of 12 professionals responsible for territory based rental of equipment and 4 professionals focused on the sale of new and used equipment. This division serves as a one stop retail destination for any company needing tools, welding supplies, power tools, generators, fencing, and any other consumable that is used on any construction site. A minimum of 10 years' experience is needed in a sales management related position in the rental services industry. This person should currently be at a Sales Manager or District Manager level. Experience in the equipment rental services industry is a must. A four-year degree is strongly preferred as is a successful track record along with a record of documented achievements.
